It has been implemented that you can't hire someone when you have zero or negative amounts of money in the bank.
But you still can give them a raise and even a bonus (your amount in the bank drops).
This should be change on the exact same principle as the feature implemented.


I also think you should get a notification when you have zero or negative amounts of money in the bank and tries to hire someone.
A newbie would appreciate to know why he can't hire someone.


On a sidenote: I don't think the system should be like it was implemented now.
In reality you CAN hire people with negative holdings in the bank. Like how it is in the game now, you give them money the first day at work.
I would like it to be like the heating bills. They don't tap you account the first day.
And my suggestions about the raise and bonus only applies if the system is to be like it is today (the staff get's money on their first day at work).

There was always a cost of hiring staff on the first day, that bit has not changed.  The only thing that has changed is that if you cannot cover their wage when you want to hire, you can't hire them.  (That is as it was in TH).
As for pay increases and bonus payments, that is also the same in TH.  If you give a bonus the money is decucted at the same time, I am not sure on a pay increase, but I can check it for you if you want.

Yeah. I'm aware of that.
But this is just a suggestion of mine. Anyhow, a notification would still be nice.

From memory when you tried to hire staff and could not afford there was a buzz sound.  Is that what you would like or would you like the advisor to say so too?

It's the same for me, since I already know one can't do that now.
But I'm thinking of when new players come, and don't know why they can't hire staff.

A message from the adviser would be the most explanatory in my opinion.

It shouldn't be too difficult to add a custom message, if someone doesn't do it before I'll have a go this weekend
