installing maps under ubuntu
« on: July 03, 2011, 06:16:22 PM »
Hello,
I've been surfing thru the forum, google & my computer folders, but still can't find the default installation path under linux to add some maps I've just downloaded.
I have installed corsixth thru the playdeb.net page as a repository, so I assume it has used the default instalation path.
Anyone would be so kind to tell wich is it? I can find the saved games and the config file, but im lost when looking for the maps folder.

Thanks in advance.

I wrote to you in IRC, but you didn't reply:
Go to the directory where the config.txt is and open it, find the line "theme_hospital_install" and go to the directory which is stated there.
Hopefully this is your game directory.

Yeah, I read your answer there, I was afk. Forgot to shut down firefox. That lines contains the original Theme Hospital folder. And I guess maps downloaded should be extracted somewhere else, because I can't find any map folder  containing the 3 maps that beta 7 allready comes with.
Thanks for your answer. =)

OK, after that post i searched one of those custom maps included in the beta 7 and found it's default path.
Wich is;

/usr/share/games/corsix-th

Sorry for bothering, I hope it helps someone else in the future. And keep the good work up!!
