I got this idea by reading the "Disease suggestions" topic.

A disease editor whould work something like this:

Once development is finished, it would be nice to have features like these that make the game extensible. The Map Editor is fantastic in this regard too.

Well, there is no editor at the moment, but in my point of view you could extend diseases by creating new disease.lua files. It seems also possible, that you could implement diseases, that requires multiple therapies, like psychiatry and then the ward to cure a patient (maybe not now, but it seems as if the basics were already implemented).
But diseases have to depend on the given animations in the animation-viewer (beta 4/5).
The new translations had to be written then ... it would be a lot of work, but possible.
But I think the focus should be to implement all missing functions / animations :)
My wish list 12/21/2010
- implementation: animation of contaminated person
- implementation: animation of person without backbone
- implementation: missing menues (graphs)
- fix: KI is implemented but not really playing
- change startreputation

We could place diseases into an ascii text configuration file, alleviating the need for a special editor.

May I ask how old you are, markhobley? You seem to misunderstand most things other people suggest or comment on.

Have you looked at how CorsixTH is built at all? Do you know what Lua is?
