Research
« on: February 12, 2014, 11:02:46 AM »
I'm not lazy, but after 25 minutes I think i'll ask if anyone knows, or knows where I can read, about Corsixth's research.

I get that the cure and diagnosis equipment is most obvious and because always the same easy to learn. Wouldn't it be cool if it could be randomised(?). I am wondering what order the drug research is done in, I assume it brings all the drugs up by the next job being the least effective drug.

I have noticed improvements adds durability to machines and makes purchasing and replacing cheaper, I think this is how the computer and atom analyser are discovered, though does it do anything else?

I had always thought specialisation was a way to improve the illness selected in the casefile, though now I have no clue what this is, can anyone help?

Don't you dare say "search is your friend" I tried that.

The computer and atom analyser come under cure equipment I believe, the rest you can find here

Thanks, that is a really helpful page.

What is the effect of attention to detail? I read it's something to do with mistakes, is that like sending a patient to treatment at say a pharmacy and finding that even with 100% (not sure if thats possible) a low attention nurse could still mess it up and either fail to treat(send back to GP) or treat wrongly and kill?

All the little tips like cycle through machines are really nice, wish I had known that sooner.

In relation to my previous question and specialisation what does the concentrate research button do, and is it required that I press this?

"what does the concentrate research button do"  If you have allocated any research then there is an extra push for anything where you have clicked on this button.  CorsixTH will select something even if you don't, but it won't help unless you allocate to specialization.

"effect of attention to detail" nothing really at the moment, it is used a little in diagnosis, other than this it is yet to be used.  I think it is to do with getting it wrong e.g. with a receptionist who is low in this she might send people to the wrong room so that large queues form at on GP and not at others.  With a handyman he might walk past litter.  With Dr's it might be like you say it gets it wrong from time to time.  All of this will have to be decided upon and whether it links in with the CV description or is just random.

Thanks for the comment on that webpage, hope to have it completed soon (perhaps by Easter)
