Following development
« on: December 23, 2014, 05:30:43 AM »
So, I follow the development of this project and I get emails when issues are updated and whatnot on github.

I just logged into my email and I have 590 unread emails currently.

Yep, every single email is related to this project!

It looks like, cause I'm not reading all of those, issues from the old google code site are being moved over here. As every update/comment in an issue seems to generate a separate email is there a way to stop this happening again? I doubt there will be this kind of influx in the future but it does seem like something that could do with a way of preventing it. Could we condense things that already have a thread elsewhere into fewer posts, maybe?

Unsubscribe from the Group at Google Projects and/or GirHub.
I guess this is where your emails are coming from.

393 emails today.

I know where the emails are coming from, they're from new issues being posted. Well, old ones being added by someone from the old group.

If I just unsubscribe do I stop getting emails altogether? I want the emails because I want to follow the progress of the project. I just don't want hundreds of emails at a time, like I've now had twice. I can't be the only one that's had this happen, don't other people get updates like this?

The last of the issues have been moved over today, so you should stop getting so many notifications.

Sorry, but it needed to be done to keep the issues in the one place.
