Title: CorsixTH 0.61 contains a virus?
Post by: Yisc76 on December 30, 2017, 03:09:39 PM
I tried to download the latest version of CorsixTH, but Microsoft Security Essetials keeps removing the installer, saying it contains a trojan named: WIN32/Fuerboos.B!cl

I am downloading the installer (https://github.com/CorsixTH/CorsixTH/releases/download/v0.61/CorsixTHInstaller.exe) from: https://github.com/CorsixTH/CorsixTH/releases/tag/v0.61

It's probably a false positive, but has anyone else ran into a warning?

I got it confirmed somewhere else that this was a false positive.
After excluding a directory from MSE, I was able to download the file and have submitted it to Microsoft as being a false positive.
The request is still pending, but will be handled soon.

Got a final verdict from Microsoft today, that the installer doesn't contain malware and that they have updated the definitions of MSE.
