Hospital Café / Re: Earthquakes

Earthquakes are a pain and they were in TH too.  The trick is to research 100% machine improvements first in the levels where quakes are more likely to happen.  That way you increase the machine strengths to withstand the damage and replace them after a strong one.

Having an option to turn them off would be nice though.

From time to time the dreaded spammers strike and leave several posts that are meaningless to everyone and have nothing at all to do with CorsixTH or Theme Hospital.

Rest assured we do monitor this site and remove such posts as soon as possible and then promptly ban that user.  ;D

If however you do come across posts that are meaningless rubbish, please feel free to click on report link.  :)

On your first point - look for build on pause, which is one of the customisable options.  Can also change it in the config file

You don't move on straight away.  There are only certain times of the year that the check to see if all the conditions been met is done.  I think it is end of March, June, September and December.

If you have 0.50 of Corsixth the game will stop/pause and the winning fax will open, in earlier versions the fax had to be opened and that is what some people missed as they did not open it and that was why they did not move on.

I don't think rats are in either and there other small things to do.  On the whole it is playable and most things are in.
It is though still a work in progress

You might be able to alter the time in the lua files, but that would then affect all emergencies.

The idea of the emergency is to treat a number of patients with the same illness within a set time.  If it were me I would build the extra rooms needed to deal with it, even if it meant knocking others down

The map editor is for corsixth not for theme hospital.

You can say in which month it can start, but you can't say how long it will run for from the sam files.

Why or what do you want to change?

I would have just copied the hosp folder as it takes the contents at the same time.

There is  a known issue for some people with the videos so disable the movies in the settings menu.

Instead of installing theme hospital try copying the files from the cd.  Drag the hosp folder to a location on your hard drive and this will then be what you point to when setting up corsixth

I have opened an issue for you as you are correct, you should not be rewarded when running a poor hospital

Someone has since created a bug report and the issue is now fixed in beta 2 I believe

What makes you think that?

I think the idea of the spreadsheet is to record the actual text used in the existing and any new announcements.
