Fantastic indeed! For the graphics replacement project that has (almost) started going we are currently using the cc-by-sa license, would that be ok? Then we have the same for all graphical things.

Of course no problem.

One comment: There is a fadeout at the end right? Currently we stop at the last frame to let the user click when he/she is ready, maybe we could have that here too?
To let the user click was my original intention but i forgot about it and i added the fadeout. I deleted it now and updated the files in the dropbox folder. I also decreased the volume of the car horn.

Hello everyone,

Sorry for my long absence. I finally finished the cut-scenes.
There are a few sounds included but that part is far from finished.
Here is the dropbox link with all the video's.

The blendfile is also included. There are five scenes. One main scene with the biggest part of the animation. Two scenes for the rat games (Helicopters), a scene for the intro and lastly a scene for compositing everything back together. To use the compositing scene you first have to render out the other scenes.
I would like to license it with a cc-by license. I'm not really familiar with this stuff but what i basically mean is that you're free to do what you want want with my work as long as you give me some credits.

Have fun with it!

Nice spotted, There are actually some more glitches (like the helicopter rotors going the wrong way) but i will fix them.

About the music and sound-effects, I downloaded some sounds from freesound.org and i will try to make something out of it, but BenVenn also offered to make some sound effects.
So, BenVenn; if you still plan to work on that, let me know so we can exchange ideas (and sounds) and prevent doing both the same work.

And lastly about sharing the blend file, as I stated before, i am planning to share them but I don't know 'how'. The blendfile is, despite my efforts to keep it clear, a bit messy. It's very hard to see how i did things, partly because i didn't do it logical.
If i'm going to release the original file, I will first have to clean it up quite a bit. There are a lot of dutch names mixed with bad english or no name at all (Cube.001 ect.).
Another option is to only share the models but maybe there are people who want the animations as well?
Let me know what you guys think.

Here is the latest iteration. The most notable changes are the intro for the first level and the two bonus games. I also redid some of the existing animations (for example the summersault in the car).
The next step are the sound effects, i found some nice sounds (www.freesound.org) but i still need a 'tune' like in the original.

I'm still around, and I really like this news :-).

But i never fully completed this project. Most importantly: The sound and the animations for the mini-games still have to be added.
I don't know how much time i have the next few weeks, so i can't promise anything (disclaimer :-)) but i like to work on it again and finish it. Only the sound effects are a bit of a problem because i have no experience with that, so it may take more time than i can spend. So if there is anyone else who can (and wants to) do this, please contact me.

Are there any other requirements/restrictions then the one you mentioned? like length (in time), resolution ect.?

Is this what you mean? I made two different dimensions because I measured that the image in the installer has a dimension of 192x388.





What do you mean with the spacing? Should I add a white border or should I shrink the logo a little bit so that it doesn't get cropped?

I can change the current background with the latest of my traffic sign concepts. I think it's okay to deviate slightly from the official logo in the main menu, because it is the same shape. (Unlike for example the current main menu logo and the forum logo).

About the animated menu; It's not necessary to implement the animation right away, I can also render a still of the scene and some different poses for the right hand and the stick. I've also been working on the menu items lately. If you add all that together you could build up a menu much like the bank manager menu.
This would still take some work so I'll update the current menu first.

I tried some things with the road signs which turned out quite nice. I personally don't really like the colored logo on the sign, the green and blue don't match well enough. But I like the second one.
They are too crowded for a logo IMHO, too much elements. I like to see them as logo artwork that can be used for banners ect.

MY FINAL PROPOSAL FOR THE LOGO:
I did some minor adjustments to the first concept in my previous post, and I like it really much. I think it should be the future logo. Here are some versions of it:







I don't think I can improve it anymore so this is my final version. I really hope you guys like it... If you have comments, critique's or request just post them, I can't guarantee they will be granted but you can try ;).
I attached the source files and an .ico file that can be used for the game. (I couldn't upload .ico files, so just delete the .png and it should work.)

The source files are too big, should I post them on the googlecode page?

In this thread mirek2 came up with the idea to use the main pawn of the board game as a logo. (I see now he also mentioned it in this tread in may  ::) guess I've missed that )

Because I liked the idea, and I'm not satisfied with the logo's I posted in this tread earlier, I decided to work it out.
I created the following concepts:
