Title: Debian packages
Post by: Lego3 on November 16, 2010, 06:45:16 PM
I've been playing around with making debian packages for those who don't want to compile the game themselves. Have a look at the downloads section if you want to try it out.

Feedback on success or failure using them would be much appreciated!

Just asking; are these packages properly packaged and have the proper dependencies listed or are you using a tool like checkinstall to make them?

As for myself I've been using the SVN version and compiling it myself.

They have the correct dependencies (downloaded and installed automatically), but I doubt they are "properly packaged" at the moment. There are so many rules to follow... The first step was to make them work. :-) And they seem to do so.
