Found another error, patients with Alien DNA that try to use a bench will trigger an error as no animation is available (I dont think there ever was one), I'll try to fix some things tonight

and as Tobylane said they wont enter a GPs office (I think this would cause errors with animations as well

There's also no animations for:
Alien DNA patients getting a soda, going to the toilet etc... etc...

When you built the DNA Fixer it always used to say in the tooltip that a researcher was required, if any doctor can operate the DNA Fixer then I guess it's a bug in TH

On the topic of making the disease emergency only, I think the best way to do it is make a flag for the diseases to set them as 'emergency only'

All the basics are there, some of the missing features are: earthquakes/epidemics, food & other litter and some smaller gameplay elements such as general happiness etc..

As you can see the forums are located on forums.corsix-th.com, not corsix-th.com so that integrating a website should be straight forward, if there comes a point where there's a need for it

CorsixTH - Beta 5

Beta 5 of CorsixTH has been released on December 24th, 2010, as our annual Christmas present to Theme Hospital fans. Due to the out-of-schedule release of beta 4 at SVN revision 1000, there are not an excess of flashy new features, but beta 5 does contain a number of bug fixes and improvements over beta 4.

Amongst other fixes, a bug was fixed that caused an error when building the operating theatre in certain cases, along with one which caused bone-idle patients. Many of you will be pleased to know that cheats were added to the game, activated in the same way as the original game.

Finally, to address the boredom which comes from seeing the same levels over and over again, we've thrown in a brand new custom map called Avatar with a unique challenge, and if that isn't enough, additional custom maps can be found in our community forums.

  • Feature: (Some) Cheats added. Type 24328 into the fax machine to get access to them.
  • Feature: Custom map "Avatar" added.
  • Feature: Player's "salary" (read: score) now increases over your level progress.
  • Feature: Level based interest rate.
  • Feature: Level based "starting staff" (e.g. original level 5).
  • Feature: "No deaths" trophy added.
  • Fix: Error could occur when losing a game.
  • Fix: Multiple handymen watering the same plant at the same time.
  • Fix: Some placements of opposite doors/objects were wrongly forbidden.
  • Fix: Error could occur when building a surgery.
  • Fix: Autopsy now has an appropriate impact on research.
  • Fix: Salaries for doctors were too high.
  • Fix: In some cases lose conditions were not triggered.
  • Fix: Research room door could disappear after autopsy.
  • ... and various other bugs fixed.
User Interface
  • Feature: The player is now told the reason why he lost, when he loses, instead of being left in the dark.
  • Fix: Wrong winning faxes shown for levels 5-11.
  • Fix: Weird scrolling behavior could occur after loading a game.
  • Fix: No tutorial when playing with demo files.
  • Fix: Adviser disappeared too quickly during tutorial.
  • Some improvements to textboxes.
  • Some improvements to windows.
  • ... and various other small improvements and fixes.
  • Fix: Error caused by some winning faxes in Norwegian.
