Does the drug research work?

I tried putting it to 40% on one level but still this problem remained.
The drug line in the research bar didn't move thought along with the cure and diagnose equipment thought...

Drug research has unfortunately not been implemented yet.

New fonts are most definitely on the todo list. The question is how far into the future it is...

Norwegian is as good as finished, while danish has just been added. All strings not translated yet are shown in english instead. It's just that it's more rewarding if all steps towards a complete translation are committed to the trunk, and that way you can see what has already been done, and what still needs translating.

You might be able to play it over VPNs like Hamachi because it's included in ethernet in some ways.

The issue for me has more been #players... But if someone is willing we could give it a try.

I've never had the chance to try it out in multiplayer. Sad.  :( What's it like?

A&E. The doctors go to the patients' beds, rather than the patients to the GP's office. Thinking about it, do real hospitals even have a GP's office? People go to hospital either by an Ambulance/ A&E (where their conditions are unknown), or they go prediagnosed. Wards would have to be a lot bigger.

It's a pretty big change to how the whole system works, really. If/when (hopefully when) modding comes into the game someone will be able to code it up.

When patients are ill enough that would probably be the case, but at least here in sweden you normally just make an appointment with your doctor at the clinic and once there you're sent to the room he's in from the reception. Possibly you're referred to a specialist after that. You can also just go there and see if he has some time to spare at the moment, very much like in TH.

Campaign packs is definitely something we would like to add. It's just a matter or priority... :D

Emergency Room / Re: Config Pointing at the Original TH Files?

Which windows version are you using?
Check here where the config file should be located
Vista, thanks for the link.  I hate it when programs put their files off in weird locations -- I know Vista's over-protective of the Program Files directory, that's why I install to the Other Program Files directory!  Don't I remember there's a way to force CorsixTH to look for those files where I want them to be, custom.txt or something like that?
The installer also asks you if you wish to put configuration files in the %APPDATA folder or at the same place as the game is installed. I thought the game gave you a dialog where you could choose a new installation directory if it couldn't find the first one, but I guess it isn't like that...
Only the first time -- after that, the installer uses the answers you gave it last time, even if they're wrong.  On top of that, even though the config file isn't in C:\Users\$(User)\AppData\Roaming\CorsixTH\ (or any of the other locations given at http://code.google.com/p/corsix-th/wiki/ConfigurationFile ) it's getting that info from somewhere, and it's refusing to let me change it.  Frustrating!

Strange. I just tried it on my computer, and I get the choice screen every time as long as the config file states the wrong directory.

Emergency Room / Re: [SPLIT]Losing on loans?
« on: November 24, 2010, 08:49:55 PM »
According to the comments in the level files I understand the grouping to simply be a way to group conditions which all need to be met. For example all winning conditions are grouped because you need to achieve all of them, and losing conditions are one by one since only one of them needs to be met. What I don't understand why they never use it. Maybe they had an expansion in mind? It could get very interesting if you could focus on money and hospital value OR reputation and cure percentage. :-)
I think the value "Bound" is used to determine when losing conditions are shown.

There's only one way to find out, and that's to compile the program according to http://code.google.com/p/corsix-th/wiki/HowToCompile :)

I suggest a change in the winning letter texts so that they are all 3 elements long and use %s and %d in the same way the other languages do.  ;)

Hospital Café / Re: How To: modify CorsixTH gameplay through .Lua files
« on: November 23, 2010, 06:09:06 PM »
In the config.txt you can enable Debug menu, and at the start of every level you can use that to disable salary raises.

I prefer this way, it's permanent. Do you know how to make it svn-friendly, so that file will get updated but not that line?

As long as we don't alter those exact lines you'll be fine. When we do you'll simply have to remove the file, update, and then comment the lines once again.

Hello,

Please post all the news regarding CorsixTH on Maemo here.
The version playable on the Nokia N900 is still beta3, so news about updates are welcome!

Compiling from source still works too, so I'd guess beta4 works. Anyone tried it?
